If you are visiting Nashville & have some extra time go visit the Gaylord Opryland Resort. It's located right near the Grand Old Opry & I recommend parking for free in the huge mall next door. The Gaylord sight is incredible with beautiful architecture, landscaping, & several lounges & restaurants to choose from. Just walk in & be amazed.

Overall, it was a nice place—it really made you feel like you were in another country. The atmosphere was beautiful, and the people were great. Unfortunately, our room was just average, and we had an issue with a leak in the bathroom, which was disappointing. We also dined at one of the mall’s well-known steakhouses and spent around $500, but the experience did not match the price. The waiter explained ahead of time that, because the Gaylord Resort is designed like a greenhouse, the food might appear a different color—but when our steaks arrived, they were clearly overcooked and burnt. My steak was burnt, and my wife ordered filet mignon well done, which also came out overcooked and lacking flavor. For the amount of money we spent to treat our family, it was not worth it, old houese steak not worth it. Read less

It’s a 3-star hotel masquerading as a 4+-star. The towels tell the story: I’ve had plusher at Motel 6. (But that was $50 for the night when I had no choice.) This really depends on what you are looking for. I am here for a convention and this is not a hotel I would choose. Literally thousands of rooms of middling quality. This really depends on what you are looking for. I am here for a convention and this is not a hotel I would choose. Literally thousands of rooms of middling quality. Rooms feel slightly less quality than a Hampton Inn - but charge twice as much. The staff have generally been the highlight of my stay - very pleasant and helpful. Food moves between average and abysmal. I need to go on detox when I get home - not one healthy place to eat. If you don’t eat meat, you are an afterthought. If you have kids and you are OK with denying them a vacation where they eat healthily and get outdoors, this might be your place. But there are a thousand better places to go. Read less

Beautiful location, especially around Christmas time. The lights were pretty, lots of kids activities, and the bed might be the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on! My only issue is the cost. It’s ridiculously expensive and simply not affordable to stay for any length of time. We just stayed one night for the experience.

We had really mixed feelings about our experience here. This hotel is huge, and expensive, but really neat! We loved the concept of the little areas inside to have meals, drinks, hangout, etc. The lofted ceilings, the indoor plants, everything really was so nice in terms of that. The water fountain show was fun. The pool was lovely (warm, easy to enjoy). Great outdoor hot tub as well. Wonderful (incredibly clean) water park if you want to upgrade to that. Rooms were pretty spacious and very clean. Plenty of staff at check-in and for cleaning. Location was not near the downtown area, so if that's what you're looking for - this won't be it. But, it was about 20 minutes away from there and easy to access. We had problems with the plumbing in the hotel, and had to switch rooms due to that. There was lack of empathy during our initial reports of the concerns, and that was frustrating. Toilets are fairly weak - be aware, and we wound up having a faulty one. Upon checkout, Andre and Via were very kind and helpful in the end, showing us kindness and respect for our concern and issue during our stay. One evening we couldn't access a part of the hotel due to a convention, which sort of was a bummer, but we understand that happens. Shops and restaurants are open fairly late, which is good. Things are pricey here, so be aware of that. Self-parking is cheaper, and close by - unless you really want/need it - use that in lieu of valet. Save the $$. Again, this hotel is beautiful, incredibly clean and very comfortable. It's nice to be able to walk around and just enjoy the scenery. Luxurious for families, which is so nice. We enjoyed our stay.
