Customer service second to none. Came with my wife and two daughters. My daughter absolutely loved the dolphin experience. The lagoon is such a unique experience. Literally swan next to sea turtle and snorkels with fish. You should definitely book this resort. It’s worth it.

Pricey

Massive complex and pricey. While the facilities were nice you pay a premium. $45 per day to park even if you’re a guest or attending a show. Food was good but again very pricey. Complex is huge. Doesn’t really give the island feel I was looking for.
Best place! Can't wait to go back!

My husband and I stayed at the Hilton Waikoloa Village from April 18, 2026 through April 25, 2026.
First let me say that I have seen so many people disappointed with their stay. Amongst the complaints - boats not working, trams too slow, property too big so you have to do a lot (and I mean a lot) of walking, rooms dirty, etc.
When I visited: yes, the boats weren't working. Yes, the trams were slow. Yes, there's a lot of walking involved. Waikoloa Village cannot please everyone and there will be plenty who complain about the smallest of details. I don't understand these people. They must not be happy in life.
I totally and thoroughly enjoyed my visit. We chose Makai tower room 2212. It had an incredible view. We would make our coffee in the morning and sit on the porch to watch the sun rise. Our room was clean. They came every day to change our towels and make the bed.
We got a ton of walking in. I thoroughly enjoyed my walks. I got to see so many beautiful sculptures, paintings, flowers and trees. I even saw a turtle in the lagoon! In my walks, I even saw groundskeepers taking care of the lawn and foliage. That's how much this place cares about the smallest of things. I loved listening to the ocean waves crashing against the rocks. Buddha Point was so beautiful! That's where I found my favorite spot to sit and listen to the ocean. My favorite spot though was at Sunset Lanai....the view was so beautiful, especially the sunset. Dinner at KPC was delicious and the view was breathtaking as we watched the sunset while we ate dinner.
Some people also complained about the dolphins being in a "small" enclosure. There is nothing small about it. It was extremely deep. I enjoyed every second of my dolphin experience! It was so cool to learn about how they're taken care of. I got to kinda pet 2....Kona and Keo. I swam a few feet with Kona too!
The luau had the most incredible food, and the entire show was outstanding! I truly enjoyed the luau so much!
My husband and I did research the Hilton prior to our trip. So we knew exactly what we were getting, where we'd be staying and what we'd be paying for. Yes, things were expensive, but we knew this going in! We didn't rent a car. We did pay a small fee to take a shuttle to the Queens Marketplace and do a bit of shopping. Do people not research places they are staying? Do people not see how it's an over 60 acre place with a lot of walking involved? If the trams went fast, people would complain about that too. Stop complaining and enjoy! I had zero complaints and can't wait to go back.
