I enjoyed staying at this resort for the most part due to proximity to Disney World and the convenience of having a large villa (west village), with amenities such as refrigerators, washer/dryer etc. full parking spot to be able to leave whenever. Also the price was pretty good. A few drawbacks: 1) no instructions inside as to taking trash out, room turnout services, what do you do before you check out. We didn't know they don't clean our room unless we stay a minimum 10 days, we had to wash our own towels and such, which is fine because they left us plenty of laundry detergent. It would've been helpful especially if you never stayed there to have some instructions. 2) too many bugs in our unit. We had unwanted visitors almost every day from small Beatles to flies and others. The front door has some cracks in it, I suspect that's where they were coming in from. 3) I had a discussion with a supervisor at the Island River pool, you know, the one where you have to pay for floats to go in the lazy river. We were swimming in the pool not the lazy river, when my sons personal float. One of the life guards at the slides told me we can't have that inside the lazy river but said I can go once with it. Never said not having it in the actual pool. Later in, another life guard told me no personal flowing devices allowed in the pool. I said little infants have floating devices and other kids have them on their arms or bodies. This was a small round floating device, nothing significant. Then the supervisor/manager came and told me that I can't have it in the pool and those are their rules. I took a picture of the rules right before entering the pool and there is no mention of this that no personal foating devices are allowed. Anyway after convincing, they granted my son a medical exemption, which is what it is. Would I stay here again? Probably not. I'd rather spend a little more for better quality and customer service. On the downside was the noise from the renovations that was going on in the building next to ours. They would start with the saws, pounding into the ground, the constant beeping of the equipment. They stacked furniture in the parking lot and blocked us from entering and exiting, It was too noisy to sit outside on the balcony. I reported it to management, and they eventually gave us a small credit. Read less

Wonderful facility. Even though we visited Disney during our stay, my son who has two small children, 2 and 4, commented that there was lots to do at the resort, especially the pools, lazy river and such.

My recent stay at Holiday Inn Club Vacations had a mix of positives and areas that need improvement. Before arrival, I booked an extra night specifically to ensure that our rooms would be ready early the next morning. I called multiple times ahead of time to inform the front desk of our early arrival, and each time I was reassured that the rooms would be ready. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the rooms were not prepared as promised. This was frustrating, especially after making the extra effort and expense to plan ahead. Additionally, the front desk staff were not particularly friendly and lacked clear communication, which made the situation even more disappointing. On a more positive note, the property itself was enjoyable. The villas were clean and comfortable, and the pool areas were well-maintained and relaxing, which made for a pleasant stay overall. However, the dining experience was inconsistent. While some of the food was good, not all of the restaurants met expectations in terms of quality. Overall, the resort has great amenities and potential, but improvements in customer service—especially at the front desk—and better consistency in dining would significantly enhance the guest experience.
