The hotel

Completely renovated in 2017, this innovative resort has been designed by Kelly Hoppen and delivers an eclectic mix of effortless sophistication and relaxed informality, as well as signature LUX* touches. In a peaceful location, rooms overlook the triple-bay beaches and calm lagoon. There are beautiful gardens to wander in; stopping awhile to lounge on beanbags and hammocks dotted beneath coconut, banyan and filao trees. There are land and water sports galore, plus a world-class golf course nearby and bikes for exploring tropical hillsides or the local markets and village of Cap Malheureux. The LUX* Me Spa is a true haven, offering a range of indulgent treatments as well as yoga and dynamic exercise classes. Dining-wise, you’ll be spoilt for choice, with delicious island-inspired and international dishes. Just moments away from a small fishing village on the north coast of Mauritius. Transfer time from Mauritius International Airport: approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. Please note that if taking a seat in coach this may be longer depending on how many hotel stops are en route.

All Inclusive option: includes

Room upgrades

Wellness Junior Suites are perfect for couples and solo travellers seeking a wellness-centric holiday. They feature a beach house-style, a furnished outdoor balcony or terrace facing the secluded bay, a cosy indoor seating area, and one bedroom with a four-posted king-size Sleep Tight bed (with luxe linens, and your choice of pillow). The retro-style bathroom features mood lighting, bath, rainfall shower, twin vanities, and a separate toilet, as well as LUX* collection bath amenities. The room also includes a mini-bar* stocked with healthy snacks, yoga mat, strap and block, exercise cards, one plant-based smoothies, unlimited use of stand-up paddle and kayak, weekly yoga and movement classes, unlimited access to the spa’s hydrothermal facilities, unlimited on-site golf practice and balls, outdoor activity deck, access to four tennis courts plus one paddle court, complimentary use of mountain bikes, and a healthy in-room dining menu with plant based options. These suites have 1 king-size bed sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Junior Suites are located on the ground floor with direct access to the beach, spacious bathroom, walk-in shower, bath, separate toilet and dressing room, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 1 child/teen.

Ocean Junior Suites are located on the second floor, have a spacious balcony with an outdoor bathtub for two, and a king-size bed sleeping maximum 2 adults and 1 child/teen. Family Suites have a king size bed and double sofa beds, two bathrooms and a walk-in dressing room, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 3 adults, 2 children/1 teen or 2 adults and 3 children/2 teens.

The LUX* Suite has a generous lounge area, walk-in dressing room, a sleek oversized bathroom with deep-soaking bath and walk-in shower, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child/teen.

Prestige Junior Suites are located on the ground floor facing a sheltered cove in the adults-only area, and boasts a 25 sqm terrace, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

We have just returned from the LUX Grande Gaube, after a holiday of a life time for our honeymoon. From start to finish the staff made our holiday, so welcoming, cared for our every need and made it a truly unforgettable stay. A huge and special mention and thank you to the beach team, Reedo, the beach manager and Kumar. They went above and beyond every day to make our days so special and relaxing. Our towels would be laid out every morning waiting for us, our glasses cleaned hourly by the main man Reedo and our own cool box kept stocked up during the day and cocktails galore, literally couldn't do enough for us. Not only the service they exceeded in, but even educating us on all things Mauritius and recommending the best tours and places to see. The team at Cafe LUX also deserve a special mention, especially Chetan for the best iced coffees and flat whites on the island. Also like to thank the water sports team for keeping my husband entertained, with his daily water skiing, paddle boarding and water sports all which where included on our all inclusive. All inclusive was worth every single penny getting to enjoy all the restaurants on the resort, with amazing freshly made food daily from high end dining in Bodrum Blue, by far our favourite spot, thanks to Doorgesh and Luvneen and their team, 10/10 food with the the service to match, to the relaxed chilled afternoons and the best burgers at BBs Burger Shack, we couldnt fault a single meal and each resteraunt had the staff to match. Every meal was faultless. We stayed in the wellness suit wow what an amazing room with the views to match, watching the sunsets and a few sunrises was a real highlight. Every last detail of the rooms and layout was so well designed providing us with the most relaxing and romantic stay in such spacious rooms. Rooms where stocked up daily with food, drink and amenities, amazing housekeeping team. We couldnt thank the whole team enough for making our honeymoon so magical.
