The location of Club Barbados is right on the beach (bring beach shoes) as its a bit rocky, there are steps going into the sea, there are also steps down to the beach towards Sandy Lane which is a 2 min stroll , the sea is warm and calm , great for snorkeling

Tahela, the best pool boy ever ...Jaheem, the sweet smiling lady working the grill at breakfast, and of course, the one and only piano man, Lyndon! This is a smaller resort so no worries about getting lost. You will get your steps in if your room is not ground level because there are no elevators (is a spital staircase on the last flight). The food was very good and the drinks were too! We spent most of our time at the pool and we were entertained by green monkeys in the trees chasing birds! There is a nice beach that is walkable from the resort. The resort is older and could use some updates but overall we had a great time! My "old" friends were in bed early and I felt totally safe being by myself on the resort even until 2am (when the piano bar closes). Read less

Just returned from a 14 night stay at this hotel and enjoyed our trip. The room was fine, not huge but excellent aircon and we loved the balcony. Bathroom was small - you can’t turn round with the door open but kept clean daily. It’s for sleeping and washing in so more than adequate. Pools and grounds are beautiful and the grounds and pools staff, go Trey, keep them spotless and well kept. There is no beach at the front of the property but we knew this when booking but Sandy Lane beach is footsteps away and stunning! We were lucky enough to see monkeys playing on the beach and turtles hatching and making their way to the sea - both great experiences. Food and drink were all fantastic - if you can’t find something to eat I’d be amazed. We went to Enid’s 3 times and sit down choice/ buffet in Sunset for the remainder of our meals. Restaurant and bar staff go above and beyond - thanks for looking after us so well My only criticism, and it’s a small one, is the reception staff. These people are your first point of contact and impression of the hotel. There is no real acknowledgement from them when you are waiting and they are not particularly smiley. A lot of the time reception appears to be unmanned. Again this didn’t take anything away from our holiday but a bit more customer service training might be an idea. We loved our stay but not sure if we would return but that’s more that we love our stay to be on the beach and not a reflection of the hotel Read less

We had an ocean view loft room overlooking the sea with beautiful sunsets (note small additional staircase). The food was fabulous and plenty of variety. Sandy Lane beach is round the corner and easy to reach and we had beautiful morning walks on the beach. There is free use of beach towels and snorkels and a complimentary 30 min sailing trip which is a must do. Lots of options to see the island. Easy to stay in the hotel but worth seeing Harrison caves and the Nature Reserve and of course Ostins. Best thing was the resort is very relaxed. There is only smart/ casual wear for dinner and don't need to overdress! Try the Bob Marley cocktail! Read less
