We especially want to mention Zoe — she was such a lovely and warm person who made our stay even better. We can highly recommend her!
The only small criticism we have is the beach. The beach itself is gorgeous and feels very private, but there’s almost no beach service. The staff mostly stay in the hut and you have to go looking for them if you want a drink. We think they could easily do much more with the beach — a bit more attention and service would make it perfect.
Apart from that one small point, we had a fantastic time and would happily recommend the resort.

The staff is amazing. Consistently eager to please and always friendly. From the arrival at the airport to the departure when they literally walked us all the way to security! We did a few of their boat tours and highly recommend those, especially the one to Phi Phi which is not to miss. The staff who crew those are also great.
The con here is definitely the beach. It’s not really a swimming beach. Also, some of the things they charge for are absolutely nuts. It’s an expensive hotel which is expected but at times it feels like they’re taking advantage. For example, some of the group yoga classes are extra charge, the boxed sandwich lunches for the boat trips are $50 each! The $150 per person buffet dinner does not include any drinks. And, if you arrive outside of their normal boat hours, you will pay $500 to get to the hotel one way! At times, that puts a sour taste on things.
All in all, we had an incredible time. Thanks yo everyone who made our stay unforgettable!

It was quite disappointing considering the high price of the room, which clearly needs some refurbishment, like other parts of the resort. For the price we paid, this should have been a major concern.
Moreover, the service is not very good. For example, we rented a scooter to tour the island. The hotel arranged it through a rental company, but the scooter was delivered with no fuel, was not clean, had poor suspension, and the brakes barely worked. On top of that, it cost three times more than renting one independently—and certainly not for such a poor-quality scooter.
When we raised this issue with the staff member assisting us, she simply replied that fuel was at our expense, which seems to be their standard practice. This is clearly not acceptable for a hotel of this standing.
So if you are willing to pay a very high price for limited service and an outdated room, then this might be the place for you. Otherwise, it is truly disappointing.
However, the view from the main swimming pool is gorgeous, and the food at the restaurant is good, although room service is only average.

We arrived at Six Senses Yao Noi after a long journey, looking forward to a special family Christmas and the level of care and quality the brand is known for. While there were positives during our stay, our overall experience was mixed, and much of it came down to room allocation.
We had booked a four-bedroom Hideaway Villa for our family. The villa we were initially shown was very dark and set deep within the jungle. While some guests may enjoy this style, we personally found it lacking in light, comfort, and the sense of ease we were hoping for. Mosquitoes and wildlife were very present, and the outdoor communal space felt difficult to use in the evenings.
For a multi-generational family stay, the villa did not provide a comfortable shared area, which was disappointing given the nature of our booking. The first evening was challenging, and communication at that stage could have been clearer and more proactive.
The following day, my parents were moved to a different villa which was light-filled, beautiful, and much more in line with what we associate with the Six Senses experience. This really highlighted how much the room category and location can define a stay at this property. Parts of the resort itself also feel in need of refreshment, sitting close to the edge of “shabby chic.”
Once settled, the staff were generally pleasant and attentive. The food was mixed but overall good, with the Thai cuisine standing out. The spa and fitness offerings were also positives.
The beach area is fairly underwhelming and lightly serviced, while the main pool has a stunning view but can feel overcrowded at peak times.
In summary, Six Senses Yao Noi can be a lovely experience, but I would strongly advise future guests to choose their room category very carefully. The difference between villas is significant, and this can make the difference between a memorable stay and a frustrating one.
