This is a top pick of Sandals properties for my wife and I. It is a smaller location and we like that. Plantation is not the woo-woo crowd place to go. We are a bit older and so was most of the guests. If you are looking for a relaxing and respectful break, this is the place. Super chill and laid back. The dinners were really good. This is a top Sandals property for quality dinners. Everyone is so nice and helpful and our butlers were great. Although you can take a quick trip to Ochie we did not. We had some friends that went to Ochie for dinner and they had a good time. Our butler went to Ochie and got us lunch from the Jerk Shack and it was exactly like the old island restaurant on Sandals Royal island. We loved this property so much we already booked again. Returned to SRP as part of a split stay for our 2nd renewal at Dunns. Hadn't been back since 2021 during our first ReTie the Knot and we've missed it! Though Arnold's no longer there, Omar is continuing the tradition of taking care of this little secret hideaway. We are sorry we missed the VIP luncheon this time-but definitely for next visit. Special Kudos to Marvin, ops manager for taking care of the property and guest when we visited. Working hard, talking the talk and walking the walk. We see you. Okeen may have been the hardest working server on the terrace for Italian alfresco. Beautiful beach and "plunge" pool thank you to Romane, Daniello, and Trevardo for excellent service. Delish dinner (our fav!) at Le Papillion with Joseph. JLee at the Peacock/Grill was the friendliest. Thank you to Tian and Vanya at Bfast each morning/Peter w/ room service. Horatio at Insiders club was efficient and so professional. (We recognize that having a game room/Insiders club w/ AC is a jewel) Lastly, Orayne and Safiyalee (along with/ Gladstone and Sherrill) are the hosts with the mostest-the barbifry chicken and the shepherds pies at Blue Shadow (and dominoes) were so special-thank you. We just returned from an incredible stay at Sandals Royal Plantation, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. If you’re looking for a smaller, quieter resort with exceptional service, this is it. The resort is beautifully maintained, spotless, and has a cozy, intimate feel that made it easy to completely relax. The food was outstanding throughout our stay, but Le Papillon deserves special recognition. I had what was quite possibly the best lobster I’ve ever eaten. It was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. We also want to give a heartfelt thank you to our server, Garfield, who went above and beyond to make our dining experience unforgettable. His warmth, professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality elevated an already exceptional meal. We spent countless hours enjoying the crystal-clear Caribbean Sea and the cold plunge pool, which has one of the most spectacular views imaginable. We also took both the glass-bottom boat tour and the garden tour, and they were highlights of our stay. Jordion made the garden tour both informative and entertaining, while Tiwaine and Fabian kept everyone laughing on the boat and made the excursion an absolute blast. One of the most relaxing parts of our vacation was our visit to the Red Lane Spa. Sharon and Marva gave us incredible treatments, and we left feeling completely refreshed. They were both skilled, welcoming, and truly excellent at what they do. Our butlers, Robert and Anthony, took exceptional care of us throughout our stay. They anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and made our anniversary and birthday celebrations feel truly special. Their kindness, professionalism, and attention to every detail made us feel genuinely cared for. We also have to recognize Marvin, the Operations Manager. He seemed to be everywhere at once, always checking on guests, keeping things running smoothly, and somehow still finding time to make everyone laugh. His positive attitude was infectious and added so much to the welcoming atmosphere of the resort. Finally, we have to recognize the General Manager, Omar. It is obvious that his leadership has created an incredible culture throughout the resort. Every single staff member we encountered was warm, welcoming, and genuinely seemed happy to be there. What amazed us most was Omar himself. Somehow, from the very first day, he seemed to know every guest by name. We were first-time visitors, yet when we attended the Welcome Home Dinner, he greeted us by name as if we were returning guests. That level of attentiveness is remarkable and speaks volumes about how much he genuinely cares about every person staying at the resort. Having just finished our third stay at Sandals Royal Plantation, it’s really no surprise to us that so many guests come back year after year. It’s a genuinely special resort with a feel that is quite different from the rest of the Sandals collection. What immediately sets it apart is the staff. They are some of the warmest, friendliest and most genuine people we’ve ever met. Nothing ever feels like too much trouble, and they consistently go out of their way to make you feel welcome. They remember your name, your favourite drink, and always greet you with a smile, which makes the whole experience feel very personal and relaxed. Within that exceptional team, our butlers Gladstone and Sherrile deserve particular recognition. They were simply outstanding, striking the perfect balance between being attentive and never intrusive. Somehow they always appeared exactly when needed, yet quietly stepped back when it was time to unwind. Every interaction was delivered with warmth and genuine care, and they played a huge part in making our stay so memorable. Beyond our butlers, there were many other staff members who made a lasting impression. Vanya was consistently cheerful and genuinely pleased to see guests, which made every exchange feel authentic. Anthony regularly went out of his way to make us feel special, while Tresell ensured we were always well looked after during pre-dinner cocktails and relaxed evening drinks. The management team also deserve enormous credit for the culture they have created. Omar, the General Manager, leads by example in a way we have rarely seen. It was not unusual to see him serving drinks by the pool, clearing plates after meals, or simply taking time to chat with guests to ensure everyone was enjoying their stay. His remarkable ability to remember names and personally greet guests speaks volumes about the tone he sets throughout the resort. Supporting him, Marvin was equally visible and proactive, consistently engaging with guests and making a point of remembering names. Mahesh was always welcoming and friendly, never without a smile, while Horatio stood out as one of the nicest young men we have met at any Sandals property—an absolute credit to the resort. While the service is the standout feature, the dining experience is another major highlight. Having stayed at several all-inclusive resorts, including others within the Sandals group, we found the food here to be noticeably superior. Every meal was beautifully presented, full of flavour, and consistently excellent from start to finish. The facilities complement this relaxed atmosphere perfectly. Some guests mention that the pool is small, but we feel it suits the resort entirely. This is not a place for large-scale entertainment or a lively party scene. Instead, Sandals Royal Plantation is designed for calm, quiet relaxation and understated luxury. The all-butler-suite concept reinforces that sense of effortless comfort and personal attention. Overall, this is a boutique hotel with real elegance and character, but it is the people who truly bring it to life. Every member of the team goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is nothing short of exceptional. One of the things that makes this resort so special is its intimate, boutique atmosphere. Every suite offers an ocean view, and because the resort is smaller, it never feels crowded. There is no rushing to reserve beach chairs or waiting in lines. Every restaurant is excellent, but the French restaurant deserves special recognition.
