The hotel

Built in 1957, Mammoth Mountain Inn was Mammoth's first ski-resort accommodation and the only slope-side hotel at Mammoth's Main Lodge. Today it offers activities year round — in summer there's hiking, biking and outdoor adventures, and in winter it's a core skiers' and snowboarders' paradise, with the ultimate entry point to the slopes. Ski to the hotel at the end of the day and you can soon be blowing the steam off your hot toddy. Take a dip in the outdoor pool or one of the indoor or outdoor hot tubs. The Yodler dining terrace is the ideal place for a light snack on a sunny day and the great après-ski atmosphere in the Dry Creek Lounge is further enhanced by regular live music.

In a superb mountain location in Mammoth Lakes. Slope-side at Main Lodge. A 10-minute drive into town.

216 rooms on 3 floors in 3 buildings with 2 lifts. All with HDTV, DVD player, iHome media player, coffee maker, hairdryer, iron and board. Standard Rooms have 1 queen-size bed or 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

2 Queen Hotel Rooms are larger than Standard Rooms, but with a more convenient location, with 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

King Hotel Rooms are in the main building and have 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

King Hotel Rooms with Loft, in the main building, are larger, with 1 king-size bed and a loft area with 1 queen-size bed or 2 twin beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

1-Bedroom Condos have separate bedroom, kitchenette and dining area, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

Please note: During winter months, views may be restricted due to heavy snowfall.

Great time up here at mammoth mountain inn!! Room was great and hot tub was amazing! Check in was smooth and easy. Hernan was extremely helpful with telling me about the property and places to go . Will definitely be back!

We had a really nice time at Mammoth Mountain Inn. The family enjoyed staying so close to the lifts, and the employees on the mountain are delightfully pleasant without being sugary. Just chill! Ben, at the front desk, was especially helpful as our condo had some issues with an unhooked appliance, as well as a stair tread that was unsafe. He got right on it, and even offered to move us to another condo. We had already unpacked, so we didn’t take the switch but appreciated their concern. Our unit was warm and comfortably furnished—rather too warm! Know that the units are not air conditioned, but some open windows helped. The food was tasty ($$$) in the restaurants, and the overall ambiance was that of *real* skiers and snowboarders who love the snow. Not a spot for showy shallow influencer culture! Maybe the influencer types were there— I didn’t see them, but I saw genuinely active happy people just playing on the slopes and in the village. The family would gladly go back to Mammoth anytime!
