The hotel

Built in 1957, Mammoth Mountain Inn was Mammoth's first ski-resort accommodation and the only slope-side hotel at Mammoth's Main Lodge. Today it offers activities year round — in summer there's hiking, biking and outdoor adventures, and in winter it's a core skiers' and snowboarders' paradise, with the ultimate entry point to the slopes. Ski to the hotel at the end of the day and you can soon be blowing the steam off your hot toddy. Take a dip in the outdoor pool or one of the indoor or outdoor hot tubs. The Yodler dining terrace is the ideal place for a light snack on a sunny day and the great après-ski atmosphere in the Dry Creek Lounge is further enhanced by regular live music.

216 rooms on 3 floors in 3 buildings with 2 lifts. All with HDTV, DVD player, iHome media player, coffee maker, hairdryer, iron and board. Standard Rooms have 1 queen-size bed or 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

2 Queen Hotel Rooms are larger than Standard Rooms, but with a more convenient location, with 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

King Hotel Rooms are in the main building and have 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

King Hotel Rooms with Loft, in the main building, are larger, with 1 king-size bed and a loft area with 1 queen-size bed or 2 twin beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

1-Bedroom Condos have separate bedroom, kitchenette and dining area, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

Please note: During winter months, views may be restricted due to heavy snowfall.

Brian provided amazing customer service even though we arrived close to midnight. Got us a room in the main lodge and stored our bikes for the night all with a very positive vibe

Very nice and accommodating place. Brian at the front desk checked us in smoithky and quickly and was even able to updgrade us! They offer room service only when requested which was nice and had easy access to the store, resturant, and other facilities. We will definitely be coming back

Disappointing! Misleading Photos and Poor Conditions We booked a stay at Mammoth Mountain Inn as part of a family road trip celebrating my parents’ 40th anniversary. Sadly, this was by far the worst hotel experience of our entire trip. After a wonderful stay at the Marriott Timber Lodge in Tahoe, we decided to try something new based on the positive reviews and appealing photos online. Unfortunately, those photos are incredibly misleading — possibly AI-enhanced — and do not reflect the actual condition of the property. The first room they gave us was unacceptable: the sliding door to the balcony was permanently locked because the balcony had holes in the floor and was unsafe to use. This was especially alarming since we had a 6-year-old with us. The room was also dirty and rundown. We asked to be moved, but the second room was just as bad — nothing short of gross. The hallways were dim and dirty, the elevators were tiny and poorly maintained, and to top it off, the lobby was under construction, which added to the overall feeling of disrepair. We refused to stay the night and immediately booked three rooms at the Westin Monache (which was a breath of fresh air in every way). When we explained our situation to a staff member at the Westin, they told us they had previously worked at Mammoth Mountain Inn — and according to them, the carpets there haven’t been replaced in 25 years. While I normally wouldn’t include hearsay in a review, the condition of the rooms and common areas absolutely supports that claim. It’s honestly hard to understand how Mammoth Mountain Inn continues to operate in this state. The hotel has also refused to refund our reservation, despite us leaving immediately. I've posted actual photos from our visit so others can see the reality. Trust me — don’t be fooled by the marketing. This property is in serious need of renovation and does not live up to its online image. Tip: Skip this place and book the Westin or another trusted brand. It’s just not worth the disappointment. All you need close to the mountain! The rooms are perfect and the jacuzzis are a blast! Victoria at the front was so helpful! Can’t thank her enough! Would recommend 10/10
