The room was great as we were a family, with two children age 8 and 11. Buffet breakfast has so much choice. The iced coffees are amazing. We often had lunch by the pool or in the restaurant. We also had dinner here. Or walked 5 minutes into chewing where there are lots of restaurants, 7-11, bars etc. there is so much to do on the island. The hotel also had a bbq and fire show. You could also pay for a private dinner on the beach. We had the most amazing stay. Thank you

I did not find it troublesome at all to cross the street to go to breakfast or the beach/beachside pool. The hotel has an employee to cross you over safely.
I have not encountered a staff member being less corteous.
The night market and shopping area are only a 10-15 minute walk away so you are not "right there in the noise".
Let me emphasise the budget part. At Amari, you get value for money. Have i weighed and seen other properties? Of course, as a travel advisor i have to. But it feels for us as we have made the right choice to spend 4 nights here.

Our 7th visit to the Amari Koh Samui, the first being 2009. Yet again, it did not disappoint. We stayed in a Grand Deluxe Ocean View Room which provided the perfect accommodation for our holiday. The staff were again fabulous, from the Reception, cleaning and bar. Whilst all were courteous, friendly and professional, special
mention must go to Penn, Honey, Boom, Deer and Noi who made our stay so memorable.
There are aspects that need improvement (although I must stress that these didn’t spoil our holiday), but for balance I believe they should be mentioned, so here goes.
Some of the groups/families used the bar seating area to eat non hotel food, sit in wet clothes on chairs/settee’s that meant others could not use them afterwards; this needed to be challenged by the hotel staff as it spoiled the experience for others. I suspect because the Thai culture meant the staff didn’t want to upset anyone, the offenders were left to do as they pleased and the area became a tip. Senior management need to intervene.
The only other area that wasn’t as good as previous visits was the visibility of senior management. Previously the General Manager used to make a point of getting out and about to meet clientele; we never saw them at all during this visit. Also, a reception used to be held for returning guests but this also appears to have stopped. Perhaps a review of management exposure would be beneficial.
But please do not let these comments take away the fact that the Amari Koh Samui is a fabulous place for a memorable holiday. We will certainly be returning in the future. Our thanks to all staff who we met for another memorable experience.
