Caesars Palace

The Strip, Las Vegas

Star rating

The hotel

This Las Vegas legend hasn’t outlasted many of its neighbours by accident. Look beyond its decadent glory-of-Rome exterior and you’ll find supremely well-appointed, contemporary rooms and suites without a whiff of white marble overkill. There are few Vegas resorts that can hold a Roman candle to Caesar’s casino and gaming options, while foodies could happily spend days ticking off the relaxed and upscale eateries on offer. Likewise, if retail therapy is on your mind, the resort’s Forum Shops is an opulent mall that’s been dubbed ‘The Shopping Wonder of the World’. And did we mention that Caesar’s Palace continues to host the grandest of grand Vegas performers such as Adele at its 4,000 plus seater Colosseum stadium?

My husband and I stayed here during my birthday. When you arrive at the property it is clean & sanitary. The front desk staff (Kiana) were awesome, polite and knowledgeable. The ride to hotel was the Long way because of the renovations being done.

I recently stayed at Caesar’s Palace for a conference after more than a decade away. Seeing its 4.5-star rating on Google and the attractive conference rates, I expected a solid stay. My wife and I typically prefer higher-end 4–5 star properties, so I was hopeful. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short, and it’s clear Caesar’s is showing its age compared to other resorts on the Strip. Pros • The location is central and convenient — truly the only standout advantage. Cons • Resort fees are steep, and you feel nickel-and-dimed at every turn. • In the gift shop near check-in, prices aren’t displayed. Two bottles of Aquafina cost $10.95 each — nearly $22 for water. Outrageous. • The casino and common areas had an unpleasant odor that set them apart negatively from nearby properties. • Conference catering was disappointing in both quality and taste. • Guest rooms are dated and poorly maintained: stained and peeling wallpaper, worn carpet, and bubbling hallway carpet. • No complimentary bottled water in the room; everything comes at a charge. • A notice warns of a $75 fee if the minibar is used for personal items. • No in-room safe provided to secure valuables. • The pillows were extremely hard; we had to request softer ones to get any rest. • The resort is kept uncomfortably cold throughout — we even saw a hallway thermostat set to 60°F. Overall Caesar’s Palace desperately needs a top-to-bottom renovation to restore even a hint of its past grandeur. For now, the “Roman Empire” that once defined the property feels like it has fallen. The location is excellent, but everything else is in decline. Read less

Unless you have a corporate credit card, it’s a huge rip. Ice machines broken, no coffee, no water, not even a pen small note pad in the room. Way overpriced restaurants, food and drinks. I’m prepared to pay extra in Vegas, but not get gouged. I’m surprised they don’t have pay toilets.

My husband and I went for our anniversary. We had room mix ups and it was a long night but Jazmine did amazing and took care of us! We were so grateful to talk to her and have her help us out.
