The hotel

This historic hotel was built by Vegas legend, Bugsy Siegel back in 1946 and it's seen countless celebrities walk through its doors in the last 60 years, as well as being the backdrop for the original Ocean's Eleven film and Viva Las Vegas. It has an amazing location right in the middle of The Strip and near the fantastic Caesars Forum Shops, with award-winning Flamingo Go Rooms. The hotel is great for kids with its amazing Beach Club Pool. The GO Pool offers a 21+ lively pool party experience with its amazing 15-acre tropical pool paradise, which has whirlpools and four different swimming pools nestled among the lush, green foliage. Then there's the Wildlife Habitat, where the resort's eponymous flamingos hang out with turtles, swans and ducks. There's a choice of seven restaurants including Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville and Margaritaville Casino, featuring the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar. Margaritaville is as much a state of mind as it is a place. The multi-level Caribbean-themed entertainment venue offers two outdoor patios overlooking the Las Vegas Strip, a nautical-themed restaurant, four distinctive bars, live entertainment nightly (both indoors and outdoors) and a 3,000-sq ft retail store. You can also eat outside by the pool or even enjoy a spot of gambling in the pool casino located at the GO Pool! At the Margaritaville Casino at the Flamingo, guests feel the energy of the Las Vegas strip while enjoying the laid-back vibe of the islands.

It feels like everyone who works here hates working here and hates the guests. I’ve never had such unfriendly hotel staff before. A lot of things are broken here. Our room smelled like bleach the whole stay and has many signs of visible wear and tear. The meeting space is really oddly laid out. There are almost no drinking fountains or water refill stations, but even when I went to buy a bottle of water in the store, nothing from inside the fridge was cold. Staff said the refrigerator was “under maintenance.” It feels like they try to nickle and dime you for everything here, including extra room keys, late check out and early check in. Staff also aggressively ask for tips. I would never voluntarily choose to stay here. Read less

We noticed that the bathroom was very dirty, the sink was missing the drain pin, there was mold, green and pink shower scum in the bathtub and in the shower. We did not shower for our stay. There was no knobs and faucet had hard water stains as well as the windows in the bathroom. The desk in the room also had cup marks when we arrived and the room windows had face and hand marks. We spent our stay on the 28th floor and were surprised to find that we weren’t too happy. Also check in wasn’t too friendly I forgot her name. Making faces and smacking her lips when asking for early check in. We did enjoy the go pool and that definitely was the highlight of our trip, staff were great and super attentive. Made the trip very memorable. Read less

The room was not good, we were in an old room. We could not find the ice machine on the floor as the sign that said where it was, it ended up being closed off. We had to go to another floor as there was no signs to direct you where to go. The bathroom was small and every time we flushed the toilet it would overflow. The water pressure was not… Read more

The room was really not what I expected from a resort, and especially being one of the newest remodeled rooms. The broken tiles, filthy dust ducts, the rusty spots, cracked sink and just general sad condition the room was in. I would expect that condition from a motel from my home town but not a Vegas resort. Also we didn't have hot water for our shower. Were told that since its a historical property to let it run for 15-20 minutes. I have stayed at properties much older and historical and never have had to deal with that. So adding an extra 20 minutes just to have hot water was a bit rough. The bed was pretty standard. Nothing to write home about. Casino has a decent atmosphere and good choice of slots and tables. The taco place on-site was great. Good food and great drink special. The little coffee shop next to Havana was also amazing. The lobby unfortunately has not aged well with its decor. The honest saving grace of the whole establishment was the time spent with our rented cabana at the go pool. It was a very fun atmosphere and the staff were great. I guess pluses and minus. Just know that yes you get what you pay for but i still believe that I should be getting a better experience for a resort in Vegas instead of the vibe of a shady motel 6 room quality wise. Read less

I did a long yelp review and can’t even write everything I went through on here . Not worth staying at. Read less
