We used the spa for a couples massage. Both of us viewed the massages as mediocre despite an over $900 price tag (solely for the massages). I woke up that night with a knot under my right shoulder, which didn't completely subside for over a week. The knot was unusual and almost certainly resulted from the massage that day. When I attempted to get relief through, perhaps, someone who could help with such a specific request, my request was ignored. Additionally, I responded to a standard survey request from the hotel after we departed. An employee named Paige Aguano reached out to get additional information/input. I indicated I would get back with her once we returned home from the trip. I did get back with Paige soon after we returned home. I did not hear back from her,or anyone else representing the hotel. Stayed here years ago and came back to a very underwelming experience. The hotel needs to get refurbished and they appear to be doing some, but it's very slow. The restaurants are very hard to go to for dinner (we ate out almost every night minus 1 for this reason) as the only nice restuarants you have to book through open table and they don't hold tables for paying guests. They are trying to constantly upsell you in the lobby with hawaiian trinkets. The rooms are clean, but everything is very old so the shower handle fell off, the japanese toilets are struggling, the phones are very old, ect. I even had my stuff that I washed in their laundry come back smelling worse then when I gave it to them. I would not recommend staying here if you can and when I come back to this island I'd rather spend my money elsewhere. Read less

The Grand Hyatt in Poipu Kauai is a one of a kind and a world class experience. The happy, helpful and heroic customer service makes every moment memorable.

Inside the room was just average old looking room with two beds. The food here not too much options, taste average but expensive. Coffee store was horrible but expensive you have to drive out for Starbucks. The only thing I like about this hotel is they have good size pool and it’s open 24 hours. Will I come back with this price? No. Was it worth the money? No. Read less

This is an absolute beautiful property with pools, galore, oceanfront beauty and amazing amenities. I would take my family back, just be aware that the property is not completely secure and hold your valuables close.
