The room I checked in was not up to the Mark, we had planned this trip to celebrate my wife’s 40th birthday. Mr Chandra left no stone unturned and within 30 mins he got me a different room which suited our needs better. He also helped us with the rooms on the last day, he really changed my opinion of the hotel by helping us the right time, a big thank you for all the help. Can’t thank him enough. The staff of any hotel is the biggest asset one has and I believe the staff here go out of their way to help you. The restaurant staff and housekeeping staff are exceptional too. All they want is for you to have a good time. One exceptional service this hotel has other than the wonderful amenities is kids care. Me and my wife had to go out alone to celebrate her birthday. The hotel provides kids care facilities, the person who took care of our kids was Ms Neka from kids club, she used to get a bag full of activities and toys to spend time with my kids, with regular updates of what my kids were doing, she made our life so easier and my kids miss her now. Trust me this hotel is worth your stay with all its facilities and wonderful staff. I had definitely come back here. Once again I had like to thank Mr Chandra. Read less

Our experience at Grand Mirage Resort was overshadowed by a situation that no family should have to deal with while on holiday. Three days into our stay, after we had already checked in and settled into the resort, we received an email from the reservations department admitting that they had made a significant pricing error on our booking. The email explained that the resort had incorrectly calculated our package and that, due to their own mistake, they had undercharged us. Despite the error being entirely on the hotel’s side, we were informed that there was now an outstanding balance of USD 4,022 that we were expected to pay. What followed was several days of stress and uncertainty during what should have been a relaxing family holiday. We attended three separate meetings with management trying to resolve a problem that we had not created. During these discussions, we were told that if we did not pay the additional amount, we would only be able to stay until 6 June, despite having a confirmed booking until 10 June. This was particularly upsetting because 6 June was my daughter’s birthday. Being told that our family may have to leave the resort on her birthday because of a pricing mistake made by the hotel was incredibly distressing. To make matters even more difficult, simply moving to another hotel was not a realistic option. We had family who had travelled from the UK specifically to meet us at Grand Mirage and spend their holiday together. Relocating halfway through our stay would have disrupted plans that had been organised months in advance and affected multiple family members, not just ourselves. After three meetings, management eventually agreed to reduce the amount by 25%, but we were still expected to pay approximately AUD $2,800 for an error that the resort had openly admitted was their own. To make matters worse, we were also told that if we did not pay, the staff member responsible for the mistake could be forced to repay the loss through their wages over the next three years. This placed enormous emotional pressure on us and made us feel responsible for a situation that was not of our making. Management later appeared to backtrack on this statement, but it should never have been mentioned to guests in the first place. Instead of enjoying our family holiday, we spent days attending meetings, discussing invoices and worrying about whether we would be able to remain at the resort for the duration of our stay. While many of the staff were friendly and the facilities are good, the way this situation was handled was extremely disappointing. No guest should be asked to pay thousands of dollars extra after arrival because of a hotel administration error, nor should they be made to feel that their holiday accommodation is at risk if they refuse. Unfortunately, this experience significantly impacted our holiday and is the reason I would not return. Read less

After spending 9 days at this fabulous resort and on my last day I could only think of sadness as it was home time due to work commitments The staff at this resort were nothing but polite, helpful in every way and to make sure your comfortable. The breakfast was good although most days were roughly the same each day, but I guess you can’t please everyone! Lunch we didn’t have but for the dinners especially the restaurant out by the beach was excellent and again by well run staff. The Chinese restaurant called chopsticks just next to the family resort was nothing but perfect and again great staff. For the rooms, excellent. Comfy bed, very clean and well maintained by the staff. I was on the 3rd floor with great views of the grounds. For the pool area and the swim up bar was just the best. Kids pool area was good and well maintained. So all in all I would recommend this hotel for your next visit to Bali. I had no problem with anything. Although if you don’t take the all inclusive it could be a little pricey, keep that in mind! In finishing, I would like to thank my sincere friend who is the GM and he’s beautiful wife. For my wife and I to come to Bali and spend time with our friends/ family made it just the perfect holiday. ( looking forward to seeing you guys soon). Best regards to all. a Read less
