The hotel

What a unique place! The lifts ascend diagonally up the pyramid wall and the beam of light that shines from the top can be seen from 10 miles up in space. Vegas gets hotter than Egypt in the summer, so you’ll appreciate the 5-acre pool area with 4 pools, as well as a new adult VIP pool* section. Check out the hotel's dining options too — there's Diablos Cantina, Tender Steakhouse, Backstage Deli, Pyramid Café, and Public House. In the sumptuous Nurture Spa, you can enjoy treatments like botanical body buffs, Swedish massages and refresher facials. Blue Man Group is a comedy, theatre, rock concert and dance party all rolled into one. You'll be closer to the action than ever before at the specially designed Blue Man Theatre at Luxor Hotel and Casino. It's an outrageous multi-sensory experience you'll never forget.

Image of the Tripadvisor rating I would NEVER stay in the Pyramid again!

The Pyramid has a Food Court Ventilation Issue inundating the building with Deep Fryer Oil Fumes from the Food Court. The Tower rooms were clean and fume free though.

The Luxor is a unique and fun place to stay. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean, and the ease of walking to the neighboring MGM resorts was a plus. I will be back.

This hotel is clean and well placed in vegas to walk to the main strip. Big comfortable bedrooms. On the downside There is no customer service and you have to stand in endless line of people to get simple things like a coffee or water. No facilities in bedrooms and no service I feel sorry for the people who work there. I would never return.

Checkin process was atrocious. Understaffed, one two employees on a Friday night! It took 40 minutes to check in. Room was clean and tidy and contemporary. Satisfied great value .

The Pyramid rooms are the worst part of the property. The whole hotel feels tired, but the Pyramid section is even worse. Our room faced the pool (whoop-de-do!), but when you step into the hallway you’re staring at the dreary backside of the interior facade. The mattress we had was so curved it felt like sleeping on a potato chip, I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. As longtime MGM Rewards members, we hoped for better treatment. Instead, to stay in the newer tower section we were offered a paid upgrade, $35 per night per room. With two rooms over three nights, that’s more than $200 just to get something you’d expect to be standard from the start. Trying to fix the mattress issue was a major hassle: “go see the new room, check the mattress, pack everything up, move to another floor,” and so on. Cosmetic tweaks can’t hide that these Pyramid rooms are old and in serious need of renovation or the hotel should consider a complete refresh. We heard the same complaints from many IMEX attendees staying in the Pyramid section. NEVER AGAIN! Read less
