Planet Hollywood Las Vegas Review – A Masterclass in Poor Customer Service Planet Hollywood Las Vegas, operated by Caesars Entertainment, delivered one of the most disappointing hospitality experiences I have encountered. For a company that markets itself as a leader in the hospitality industry, the property consistently failed to provide even basic levels of customer service, empowerment, and guest satisfaction. The most glaring issue was the complete lack of authority and accountability demonstrated by both the Front Desk and Management teams. Nearly every request was met with an immediate "no" rather than an effort to find a solution. Employees appeared unwilling—or more troubling, unable—to make decisions that benefited guests. Instead of empowering team members to resolve concerns, the property seems to operate under a rigid culture where customer service is secondary to policy enforcement. A recurring response to guest requests was that certain accommodations or considerations could not be provided because the reservation was "not booked in a suite." This explanation was repeatedly used as a blanket justification for denying reasonable requests, creating the impression that guest loyalty and satisfaction are irrelevant unless one is paying for the highest-tier room categories. One example that highlights the property's poor service philosophy involved the pool closure. After the pool was temporarily shut down due to another guest becoming sick in the water, I inquired about alternatives given that access to resort amenities is one of the reasons guests are charged a daily resort fee. The response from the Front Desk was essentially that the pool was not part of the resort fee and therefore no accommodation or consideration would be offered. Rather than acknowledging the inconvenience and attempting to provide a customer-focused solution, management simply dismissed the concern. Equally frustrating was the checkout process. Unlike most hotels that automatically provide a final invoice or folio at departure, Caesars properties require guests to contact a separate department or phone number to have a copy of their bill emailed. In an era where most hospitality brands offer instant digital receipts, mobile checkout, and transparent billing, this process feels unnecessarily cumbersome and outdated. The overall experience left the impression that Planet Hollywood and Caesars Entertainment have lost sight of a fundamental principle of hospitality: taking care of guests. Policies appeared to take precedence over customer satisfaction, and interactions with staff often felt transactional rather than service-oriented. My recommendation: If exceptional customer service, proactive problem-solving, and a guest-first culture are important to you, consider exploring alternatives before booking a Caesars property. Las Vegas offers numerous resorts that understand hospitality is about creating positive guest experiences—not finding reasons to say no. Based on my experience, Planet Hollywood Las Vegas fell far short of the standards one should expect from a major resort destination. Read less

My husband and I stayed at Planet Hollywood from June 2nd to the 10th. We asked for and received an upgraded room, which had an amazing view of the pools. The room itself was very large but dated. (Lime green sofa) During our stay a water pipe broke resulting in the water being shut off in our room. There was no heads up, we found out when we turned the water on. Later on in our trip we woke up to no water and again and there was no heads up. It was an unplanned delay to our day. The 2 pools re very nice, but sitting around the pools is very limited considering you pay a resort fee. When it was time to check out there was no mention of the inconvenience we experience due to the broken pipe. I would think twice before I returned. Read less
