The hotel location makes it look like from a folder - just by the sea side, quiet, definitely not crowdy. The atmosphere is lazy summer day, totally zen! Just birds chirping and waves quietly reaching the shore. We rented the biggest Haven apartment- it is perfectly located, from your bed you can enjoy the undisturbed seaview. The staff were so friendly that I cannot express this enough. I felt welcomed and taken care of at every step of the way! The most important thing for us, and the reason why we booked this particular spot is that my son and husband are both celiac and if you know, you know how painful it may be to cater for such guests. However, the staff did just great. They were all very well aware of us being guests with special needs and also knowledgeable; for breakfast they provided GF bread, banana bread and avocado toast my son is remebering until today. There are 2 restaurants on the site, one Italian and the other one Thai - we used the latter one, certain dishes were prepared with GF soya sauce, we could enjoy different dishes everyday. I can definitely recommend this place for a celiac guest, enjoy it, guys! Read less

Then we get to the negatives the food is average at best pretty tasteless to say it’s meant to be a Michelin chef.Breakfast basic and that’s being kind.If you want matcha latte you have to pay extra a first for me.On our second night a family moved next door to our premier pool villa.Kids screaming and shouting in their pool until midnight we couldn’t sleep.I went to reception to complain and they went to speak to them three times and they just got louder didn’t care.We spoke with the room’s manager the next morning after having a sleepless night who spoke with the owner who is the General manager and she declined for us to check out stating kids will be kids.Sorry but I disagree listening to yelling and screaming until midnight and it continued the next night. It was two families one in a room with no pool congregated into a one bed villa with pool next to us extremely noisy and inconsiderate of other guests. We were offered a choice of two other rooms either next to the main pool or next to the busy main road neither were suitable and extremely noisy. To me the owner doesn’t care about guests wellbeing only counting the pennies. No compensation basically had to grim and bear it and count down to leaving. We would not return nor recommend. After the bustle of Bangkok, this beautiful beachfront hotel was a welcome break for 7 nights of absolute tranquility and relaxation. 40 minutes from Krabi airport, the hotel sits on a secluded (almost) private beach, far from the crowds of Ao Nang (20 minute drive). With only 60 rooms, this boutique hotel has an exclusive feel. Clearly popular with couples and honeymooners, there were very few children which added to the sense of peace and tranquility; whether relaxing around the pool or watching the sunset on beach, whilst sipping a cocktail or downing a cold beer.....thank you Def for keeping these flowing. The food is exceptional. The main restaurant is The Arundina, which serves an extensive breakfast (including the ubiqitous egg station) and transforms at night into a stunning Thai restaurant, which has a comprehensive menu and wonderfully flavoursome, beautifully presented and plentiful dishes. Thank you Soup for making our stay so special. Alternatively, there is an Italian restaurant, Di Mare, which has a compact menu offering mouthwatering Italian cuisine. Both restaurants provide stunning beach front views overlooking the Hong Islands. We stayed in a Deluxe Room - a well appointed, private, upper floor room with a balcony. Ours was centrally located and overlooked the pool. Spacious and light, the beds are comfortable and the amenities are first class (eco friendly toiletries, robes, beach towels, beach towels, ample supplies of bottled water, which were constantly replenished, umbrellas, flip flops......and so on). The bathroom was unique with a deep marble outdoor bathtub and shower. If you're feeling energetic, trips can be organised at the reception. Highly recommend the private longboat trip to Hong Island. There are various water sports available (Kayaking, Paddle Board) and a small but well equipped gym. If you're feeling less energetic, the spa is very good. There are certainly less expensive hotels in Thailand and the remoteness of the hotel (ie lack of competition) is clearly reflected the in prices (food, drinks, spa). That said, you get what you pay for and it was worth every penny. A wonderfully romantic hotel, in a picture perfect setting, with exceptional staff, exquisite food and first class service. Read less

If you are looking for a great beach location, tranquil natural setting, well appointed clean rooms, delicious food and truly genuine staff then the Tubkaak Krabi Boutique Resort is your place! My daughter and I were so pleased with this resort - a paradise. As zen as it was, we also had the opportunity to kayak, paddle board, hike at the nearby National Park (special thank you to Faluck), do yoga and enjoy a beach side fire dance. We also booked the Long Boat tour to Hong Island through the hotel (loved it and glad that we departed before 8am to avoid crowds). We met several guests that have stayed in many places in Thailand and return here as their favorite. Note: if you are looking for walkable night life (not us) or have mobility issue (there are many stairs) this is not your place. We loved eating at the hotel, but also appreciated the short beach walk for other options. Read less
