We had a very pleasant stay at the Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah, with many highlights that made our visit enjoyable. From the start, we were granted an early check-in, which was very convenient and much appreciated. We had booked the staycation offer, which included breakfast and dinner at the buffet restaurant, and overall the dining experience was good. The staff were consistently kind and professional. A special thank you to Revi, the reception supervisor, who handled an unexpected situation very well: our initial room had issues with the AC, and our belongings got locked in the safe due to a fault. The team responded quickly to the problem, and we were upgraded to a One Bedroom Suite. The suite was extremely spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. Cleanliness throughout the hotel was excellent. The food was delicious, although the buffet could have had a wider variety. When we visited Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah last year, the selection there felt more extensive. That said, in my opinion, Ras Al Khaimah’s property is nicer and more luxurious in most other aspects. It’s also worth noting that kids eat for free in most of the hotel’s restaurants, provided the accompanying adult orders a meal, which is a great advantage for families. We also appreciated the thoughtful welcome cake, which was a lovely touch. There are a few areas that could be improved. The level of personalization did not fully meet expectations, especially since the personal assistant service was publicized but not introduced during our stay. Access to the beach and pool was also frustrating, as we had to pass through Lexington restaurant, which felt unusual and inconvenient, especially as we were traveling with a child with a broken leg and had to deal with stairs. I understand that this situation is temporary due to the renovation of the residence tower, however both the access and the appearance need improvement. The facade honestly looked like it had been bombed, which takes away from the otherwise luxurious atmosphere. More importantly, the current access route is not acceptable. The hotel should absolutely find another way to reach the outdoor areas rather than going through a restaurant, perhaps by creating a path from the lobby. Overall, despite a few inconveniences, we had a very good stay thanks to the excellent staff, cleanliness, and beautiful accommodations. With a few adjustments, this hotel could truly deliver a flawless luxury experience. Read less
