Where is it

At the secluded north end of Chaweng Beach, perhaps the most beautiful in Koh Samui. The bustling resort centre of Chaweng is a short walk away. Transfer time from Samui International Airport: 10 minutes.

We have been traveling to Thailand for over 16 years with 15 of those years at the Amari Koh Samui and we must say that this particular stay was the best. The resort is so beautifully presented with the most impressive gardens and swimming pools. We noticed that all the staff here seemed to be so happy and even more of a delight to be around than in previous years. After to speaking to a staff member she informed us that since the latest GM, Alex and Resort Manager Christopher have taken the reigns the Amari has never been better and I must say from a guest's perspective we fully agree. We could not fault a thing here including our magnificent beach front room, the delicious breakfast buffet with so many varied tasty options and our refreshing cocktails at the bar overlooking the beach at sunset. One particular restaurant supervisor whom for the last 14 years has looked after us, Khun Pennapa truly helped to make our stay such a happy time, she truly filled our hearts with joy. Even observing her interactions with all the other staff members and the respect and kindness she shows them was very heartening. It was obvious to us that having such a wonderful F & B Manager in Preecha and restaurant manager Takki which has brought together a great hard working yet happy team in particular with Noung, Zeed, K, Maysa, Jimmy, Honey and all the rest who I unfortunately can't recall names for. Lastly the restaurant Amaya had very tasty and fresh flavoursome food, whether it was Thai, Indian or Western. I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant. Very accomodating we arrived on an early flight and were able to check in 4 hours earlier than checkin time advised. Wasn’t a great experience .There was a permanent odour mostly coming from the beach of dope ( cannabis ) Because the Thai government has legalised it .The hotel says cannabis cannot be smoked in public areas it’s being smoked around the pool and also on balconies
