You also have to check out Merry Monkey. Jack provided excellent customer service . Spices for breakfast was mid, They have 4 pools, workout gym and staff was very nice and polite. The bad is our rooms was not ready upon arrival. Most of the eatery was closed til 5pm which mad it hard to find what you had a taste for. On top of that you had to make reservations for most. Our bathroom needed a better cleaning too. All in all I give this stay 7/10 Read less

I have been to many Sandals resorts in the past. It has been 20 years, however, since staying at one. We went with friends and were anticipating a 5 Star experience, as we had before. We had never been to Barbados. The island was great, people friendly felt safe both on and off property. The Sandals property was beautiful and well maintained. The disappointing part was the quality of food, service and overall disposition of the staff. There were plenty of restaurants to choose from, which was great. All food was okay. I didn’t notice what I would consider top shelf alcohol. Customer service severely lacking -when we arrived and the booking credits were not applied as promised to only our reservation, It took 4 days to untangle. Poor, to say the least., and we had Club level- which I can say honestly did not provide any benefit throughout the week. Staff was not as engaging as we have typically experienced. We enjoyed our vacation very much but would say Sandals fell short for us,; I would rate it a 3 star for reasons above. I would return to the island, I wouldn’t return to Sandsls. Read less

The staff is super friendly, the grounds are perfectly manicured, and the food is excellent. When we say that it is our favorite we really mean it. The fact that Sandals allows the use of both resorts is excellent, particularly at this resort because they are both together so you don’t have to take a shuttle to a different resort. This feature allows the use of all the restaurants at both resorts giving you a very varied menu of excellent food to choose from. The staff is amazing, friendly, courteous and full of love for their beautiful island and talking to them lets you learn not only about the resort but also about Barbados. The rooms are spacious and well appointed with a complimentary mini bar stocked with things like wine, beer, sodas and other things to make your stay a pleasant experience. The best part is that if you want something different, all you have to do is ask for it. Included with you stay are Water Sports like snorkeling, catamaran sailing, and scuba diving (must be certified). Also included are tips, food and alcohol at any of the many bars and restaurants around the resort. Overall, for the price you can’t beat a vacation here. Read less

Having read a number of these reviews i felt compelled to write my own and put some of these negatives right. The notion that the staff are anything but absolutely fantastic is wrong. No ask was too much hassle, everyone on the resort wished us a good day as we walked past and the service was fantastic from start to finish. We utilised the club sandals lounge and with this being our first stay at a sandals found this useful as they provided a great help. Special mentions to the service received from Jack in the pub who kept glasses filled and the atmosphere warm - he really made us feel at home and the pub buzzed off his energy. Brian in the French Restaurant was helpful and informative and provided some really great service. A lady whose name we did not catch in butches was chatty and spent time talking to us and ensuring we had everything we needed. The service was so good, we approached Raymon who helped us decide on our next trip, working with us to ensure that we knew everything we needed to make an informed decision - he was great and we cannot wait for Grenada! Facilities in the hotel were very good and the pools and resort itself kept very clean and tidy. The food was excellent - particularly butches where the fillet Mignon / lobster surf and turf was one of our favourite meals of the trip. I would absolutely not hesitate to recommend the resort and brand, we met some great friends and had the holiday of a lifetime. We will be back many times more! Read less

This is the 3rd time we have been here to Sandals Barbados over the years We noticed things had been cut back on quality We are Sapphire members of the Sandals club and been to other Sandals resorts too so we are able to compare We were expecting an upgrade from the room that was booked ( basic room GLX) due to us being regulars but we weren’t. We were given a room in the King James block with a view of the back of the Royal house and the garden if we stood up. So not a pleasant view ,quite disappointing We have always had upgrades in the past There was some building work going on in our block too. So quite noisy. The main service path between Sandals and the Royal was behind us. Therefore, we would listen to the staff yelling and laughing with each day whenever we sat on our balcony. No peace and quiet for us. Now the restaurant situation. Quite a few of the restaurants were closed at certain times of the day while we were there So limited choices available if you couldn’t book the bookable. One night we queued at three different restaurants to be told to come back in half an hour eventually got a table at the Merry Monkey. The cocktails used to be made to order now they come from a slush machine and spirits added accordingly not nice. Very watery too. It’s the little things that matter There was no butter on the breakfast a few of the mornings. The coffee isn’t nice either we had to go to Cafe de Paris every time we wanted one. There isn’t enough umbrellas on the beach, the best beds are reserved by the butlers There are dirty towels left by guests on sunbeds not collected so it stops people using them. I could go on The positives are the lovely staff and the beautiful gardens, beach and the weather was gorgeous We probably won’t go here again though which is a shame Read less
