Great as a base, the Avanti Resort is set in the heart of International Drive, in the middle of all the attractions and entertainment you could ask for. Not only are you right there for all the major theme parks, but you’ve also got movie theatres, restaurants galore, clubs and bars to cover the whole family’s entertainment. There's plenty to enjoy at the resort as well, with a large pool, sandy man-made beach with sun terrace and loungers, a gym, and a games room for the youngsters. You might want to extend your holiday to fit all of that in!

Nice place for the price we arrived on a Friday evening and checked out on a Sunday and payed less than $300 through booking.com and this place is close to a lot of prime places in Orlando clean, friendly staff and relaxing environment would visit again or recommend to family or friends as long as things remain the same or get better

Cleanliness is shocking, over a two week period we had the room cleaned twice and the first time was after 9 days, I had to ask and was told this should be cleaned every 4 days. This also includes towels which were not replaced until I had to go to reception and ask. Over the two weeks the bed sheets were not changed once, room was ok but the standard of cleaning is shocking. AC was covered in dust
Pool side bar/cafe is the biggest scam in Orlando , 13 dollars for a beer, 23 dollars for two cans of Corona. The same cans are in the liquor shop across the road for 4 bucks each, plenty of bars on international drive doing cheaper (twin peaks 4.5 bucks a pint) bad state of affairs when Disney and universal are 5 bucks cheaper. You are not allowed to bring your own food/drink in, one day a manager had a megaphone and announced that he would be coming around inspecting bags. Good luck with that
When checking in I had to pay 100 dollars deposit for the room, when checking out I was told this would be refunded after 3 days, 9 days later nothing, 2 emails which they have received and still no reply .
Avoid this hotel at all costs, pay that bit extra and go elsewhere

Rooms - ok but we reduced the AC and nothing changed so the room was either freezing or an oven!
Anything in the fridge froze and we couldn't turn that down either.
Towels - like gold! They weren't replaced. We obtained some from reception and the cleaners took them away the next day (clean towels).
Sheets were changed once in the 2 weeks and room never cleaned. They emptied the bin, made the beds and took towels - and that wasn't every day.
Pool bar is good but priced tend to vary - for the same drink.
Cafe - enjoyed the food but some of the staff are rude (wish I'd never given the tip!).
Pool is great but not clean.
Not the best I've stayed in but it's just a base!

Our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The service was dreadful from start to finish. We had repeated issues with the room’s electronic equipment failing, requiring constant checks. The front desk team lacked any sense of customer service—upon arrival, we were told to wait an hour past the 3 PM check-in time because our room wasn’t ready. When we returned, it still wasn’t ready, and the staff member was rude and unapologetic.
To make matters worse, people were smoking weed right outside the rooms, and the smell came through the air conditioning. There should be designated smoking areas to prevent this. While the reception looked and smelled pleasant, the rest of the hotel was the complete opposite—not at all like what was advertised on TripAdvisor.
It’s no surprise that this hotel no longer appears on the Virgin Holidays website. I won’t be returning.
