“Fantastic stay”

We had the best time staying here for 13 nights and would 100% recommend to everyone. The breakfast was good the rooms were so spacious, the pool area was massive and so good for adults and kids. The only negative was the people who worked at the pool bar they weren't very welcoming and looked miserable especially when you didn't tip, bearing in mind they add a 20% gratuity payment which is for them all. They staff in the bar inside were lovely and so attentive they were a joy to see each day when we got drinks and snacks at night The reception staff were also amazing nothing was ever too much and they were always happy to see you The cleaning staff were fantastic and rooms were always cleaned to a high standard. My kids had loads of teddies and these were always set up nicely and made the kids smile when we got back. A special mention to Antonio Jordon and Chily Norvehelys for their hard work thank you.

“Unauthorised payments taken by hotel”

We stayed at the hotel as a family from the 31st July for two weeks! It’s a shame this review has to be negative as the hotel itself self is clean and has lots of good amenities however we found the customer service is shocking. We were informed at check in we needed to pay £700 deposit (virgin did not inform us of this however we respected the policy and provided debit card details) a week into the holiday a further £250 was taken. Both of these were pending amounts meaning the funds cannot be used (these were funds that were needed and saved for the holiday. I spoke with reception they confirmed this should not have happened but it wasn’t their fault so nothing they could do as it was a system error and the amount would be released back to me in 3 days. That was on the 8th August and I am still waiting for the funds to be released. We then spoke to another member of staff to stay it wasn’t a mistake as the hotel policy is to take £1400 (I explained no one informed us of this when we checked in and we should be told if further amounts are being taken) she said the amount will be released in 5 days. I found the reception staff rude and unhelpful and one even laughed at me during our conversation. They seemed to say different things and not want to take any responsibility for the situation. There was no empathy that unauthorised payments had been taken which left me with less money for my holiday. On checkout we were reassured both amounts would be released back however I am still waiting. I would exercise use caution in booking this hotel in terms of unauthorised fees coming out of your bank!

“A Pleasant Stay”

We had a fantastic stay at Embassy Suites Sunset Walk and would definitely recommend the hotel. The reception staff were extremely helpful, especially Howard, who was friendly, welcoming and always happy to assist. Nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff. The breakfast was very good, with a good variety of options available. The freshly made omelettes were delicious. The breakfast area did get quite busy on Friday and Saturday mornings, but this was understandable given how popular the hotel was. Our room was spacious, with plenty of storage, and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel also has a large, spacious car park, which was very convenient. The pool area was very clean, relaxing and a lovely place to unwind. The location is excellent for visiting the parks, being around 15–20 minutes from the Disney parks and approximately 25–30 minutes from the Universal parks. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby, which was very convenient. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return. A big thank you to all the staff, especially Howard, for making our stay so enjoyable.
