Orlando: Thrill seekers guide

Walt Disney World Resort

Universal Orlando Resort

Tips and Tricks

  • Buy your tickets in advance: We recommend you purchase these at the time of booking your trip, as they are better value than at-the-gate tickets, and come with a whole host of incredible benefits that offer added flexibility.
  • Plan your day: With Walt Disney World, you can purchase Genie+ that allows you to reserve times for selected attractions, so you can spend less time in line, and pack more attractions into your day. Universal Orlando Resort’s Universal Express Pass programme is also available at an additional cost for up to three parks on the same day
  • Arrive Early: If you're staying onsite at any of the parks, you may have access to earlier opening hours so be sure to make the most of them. Head to the back of the park as soon as you enter, you'll beat the queues as most people jump on the rides closer to the entrance first!
  • Dress comfortably: You'll certainly be upping your step game when exploring the parks, so make sure you've got suitable shoes and clothes on. Florida is hot most of the year round, so a hat and sun cream are essential too.
  • Take a refillable water bottle with you: Costs can add up when you're in the parks, and you're sure to be needing plenty of fluids to stay hydrated. The parks have water fountains placed all over, so this is a great way to save some pennies.
  • Make the most of complimentary transport: Many hotels feature complimentary shuttle services to the parks, and once you're within Walt Disney World you can use the skyliner, taxi boats, and buses. This will save paying for parking, and make it easy to hop between multiple parks on the same day!

For the kids

They might not meet the height requirements for the biggest rollercoasters, but there's plenty of thrills available for the little ones to enjoy too...
