From the time you check in, to the time you leave, you will have an amazing experience. The staff is warm & welcoming, especially Ian at the front desk & Kurtis the bartender. The cookies in the lobby add a nice touch. The property is beautiful. As an all inclusive, the food and beverage is a step above from other all inclusive properties... appetizing, with a beautiful presentation, & delicious! Room service available 24 hours a day. The rooms are beautiful & nicely appointed. Some have a swim out pool, some have soaker tubs, I stayed in room 112 & 113. Room 113 had a canopy bed with amazing high wood paneled ceilings, and a spa like bathroom. I didn't want to leave. As flight crew for over 30 years, I have spent a lot of time in hotels around the world. This is a beautiful, special boutique property that I will be coming back to on my own time. Read less

If not for the 4 hour wait to get a room and the BS with Room 213, it was a great trip. Staff is amazing, food was delicious and if you needed something changed or substituted for dietary reasons, it wasn’t an issue. Drinks were awesome. Pool was delightful, didn’t really use the beach. I have to give “shout-outs” to Jaida, Stacy, Kimoy and Samantha. If you needed anything at any restaurant, they had it before you asked. Also, Ralston, the LifeGuard was so welcoming, as was Amanda in the Gift Shop and Shallina in Housekeeping was very helpful. Last, the coffee shop was top notch! Thank you Oneikah and Debroy for the best coffee! Read less

We spent 8 nights at Zoëtry Montego Bay hoping for a true luxury experience under the trusted Hyatt brand. Unfortunately, this resort does not live up to Hyatt’s reputation or a 5-star standard. While there are a few standout staff members and nice room features, the overall stay was disappointing. ⸻ Rooms Spacious, clean, and modern. The open-concept shower is great for couples but awkward for friends sharing a room. That said, the accommodations are one of the resort’s stronger points. ⸻ Pool & Grounds The pool is very small—essentially a dipping pool with no swim-up bar. The music is exclusively reggae all day, every day. It becomes repetitive quickly. A mix of genres would help energize the atmosphere. ⸻ Beach The biggest letdown. There is no swimmable beach. The small waterfront is covered with seaweed and overgrown vegetation, making it completely unusable. The resort photos are misleading. This is not the Caribbean ocean experience people come for. ⸻ Dining Food quality is mediocre. No buffet. Three à la carte restaurants rotate dinner service, so only one is open each night. In-room dining is extremely limited (jerk chicken, pizza, a burger). Breakfast is the same every day, and again, nothing special. ⸻ Coco Café Advertised as opening at 6 a.m.—but staff often don’t show up until 6:30, and even then, you usually wait while they’re in the back or elsewhere. Coffee is decent, but the “sweets” they promote are just 2 types of mini muffins and a couple of stale pastries. Another example of overpromising and underdelivering. ⸻ Service Very mixed. • Butlers: Excellent. Attentive, proactive, and present. • Barbara at the lobby bar: Outstanding. She’s been with the resort 28 years and is an absolute gem—professional, warm, and efficient. • Front desk: Friendly and effective. • Wait staff: Inconsistent and disappointing. Some are uninterested, disengaged, and a few were outright rude. • Jerky Jo’s cook/server: Particularly poor—dismissive, unkind, and lacking basic manners. This level of service is far below what’s acceptable at a Hyatt resort. ⸻ Spa The spa itself is fine, but we paid extra for massages “on the beach/in the water,” as advertised. Instead, we were placed in front of Jerky Jo’s hut, where people were eating and talking. It was neither private nor relaxing. Definitely false advertising. ⸻ Entertainment There is little to none. The bar—the only real activity—closes at 11 p.m. There are no shows, music, or nightlife, so you’re basically in bed by 9 p.m. They’ve recently hired someone new (Youllan) who is trying to improve things, but right now, the resort is incredibly dull. A band or live music would make a big difference. ⸻ Final Thoughts Zoëtry Montego Bay looks and sounds like a 5-star Hyatt experience, but fails in too many areas: • No usable beach • Limited food options • Inconsistent service • Poor entertainment • Misleading advertising (spa & café offerings) The rooms and a few standout staff (especially Barbara and the butlers) are the only high points. We’ve stayed at many Hyatts around the world, and this property simply doesn’t meet the brand’s usual standard. If you’re looking for a vibrant, luxurious, beachside Caribbean getaway—look elsewhere. Awful experience! I checked in late on 7/3 for a one night stay. I was given a room with one bed, when it should have been two beds. I waited for over a hour to get the room changed and the new room did not have air conditioning operating. I was inconveniencing twice in the night by maintenance to fix the system. I couldn’t shower or go to bed because maintenance was in and out of the room. I was told it was fixed and it would take a while to cool the room but I awoke in the middle of the night hot, sweaty and uncomfortable. Additionally there was no beverages in the refrigerator or room. I informed the front desk was at 6am. Instead of sending up maintenance and beverages, I was interrogated. I checked out at 10:30 am and there was no attempt to fix the system or send beverages. Unacceptable and displeased with all the inconveniences. Can’t and won’t recommend. Never Read less
